A Patient's Bill of Rights

Right #The patient has the right to:
1 considerate and respectful care.
2 complete info about his care in laymen's terms
3 complete info prior to procedure
4 refuse treatment (when legal)and be warned of consequences
5 privacy before during and after treatment
6 confidential record-keeping
7 reasonable service whenever possible
8 info re: hospital afiliations
9 be told of and avoid human experimentation related to his care
10 reasonable continuity of care
11 see the bill
12 know hospital rules re: patient conduct
