TermDefinition
What are units of matter? Elements and compounds
Ionic bonds Chemical bond by the transfer of electrons from one atom to another.
Chemical bond Interaction between two or more atoms occur largely as a result of activity between electrons in outermost energy level.
Decomposition reaction Result in breakdown of a complex substance into two or more simpler substance. ( chemical bonds are broken and energy is released)
Exchange reaction permits two different reactants to exchange components, as a result from 2 new products.
What is body chemistry? Metabolism
How is pH scale measured? 1 to 14, pH less than 7 is acidity ( more H+ than H-) pH greater than 7 is alkalinity ( more H- than H+)
