| chronicle | a description of events in the order they happened | Students taking American History must read a chronicle of the Revolutionary war |
| chronological | arranged in the order that things happened or came to be:using time as a measurement | The lawyer made a chronological list of events that occurred leading up to the accident |
| chronometer | a watch or clock that measures time precisely | The scientist measured elapsed time with a chronometer |
| synchronize | to cause things to agree in time or to make things happen at the same time and speed | The dancers worked hard to synchronize their movements with the music |
| planetarium | a building or room in which imagines of stars | The young boy loved learning about space and was thrilled to get to visit the planetarium |
| Aquarium | a glass or plastic container in which fish and other water animals and plants can live | John has a small aquarium in his bedroom that holds three goldfish and a tropical fish |
