Constipation-Diarrhea Cycle This cycle occurs when people's diets lack the fiber and liquids to maintain a healthy bowel function.
Diabetes Mellitus Type 2 High levels of sugar in the blood.
Hypertension Elevation of blood pressure over 140 systolic and 90 diastolic.
Hyperlipidemia A condition in which lipid levels are above normal.
Osteomalacia Softening of the bones due to vitamin D and calcium deficiency.
Osteoporosis An endocrine and metabolic disorder of the musculoskeletal system.
Sleep Apnea Sleep disorder in which the person stops breathing for several seconds at a time while sleeping.
Denial or Confusion When a patient's perception of how he/she feels may be quite different from their actual state of health.
Therapeutic Touch Based on ancient therapy called the laying on of hands.
Incontinence Involuntary leakage of urine.
Preventive Medicine Measures taken to prevent illness.
Vaginal Prolapse Weakening of the supports of the uterus can cause this.
Nocturia Excessive nighttime urination
Polypharmacy The act of taking multiple medications at once.
