HgA1C – hemoglobin A1C test (gives a history of blood sugar levels)
TFT – thyroid function test
ERCP – ERCP – endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography
DI – diabetes insipidus
DM – diabetes melllitus
IDDM – insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus (type 1)
NIDDM – noninsulin-dependent diabetes mellitus (type 2)
CSII – continuous subcutaneous insulin infusion (used in conjunction with CGM)
HRT – hormone replacement therapy
glycemic index a measure of the effect of foods on blood-sugar levels.
