What is step 1 in adult CPR? | Check for responsiveness.. If no response call 911 for medical emergency and response. |
What is step 2 in adult CPR? | Check if patient is breathing for 5-10 sec. if not breathing begin CPR. |
What is step 3 in adult CPR? | CPR. - Remove victims clothing. Interlock hands and place heal of bottom hand on lower half of breast bone. Deliver first set of 30 compressions. 2in deep at a rate of 100 per min. Give two breaths using mask or barrier device. |
What is step 3 in adult CPR cont.? | Continue until 5 cycles of 30 compressions and 2 breaths are completed. Reassess breathing and continue CPR if necessary. If additional rescuers are available swap out every 5 cycles. |
What is step 4 in adult CPR? | If patient is breathing normally, lay the patient on their side to keep airway clear. |
What is step 5 in adult CPR? | Check for other injuries and treat as necessary. |
