CPR

How many steps are in adult CPR? 5
What is step 1 in adult CPR? Check for responsiveness.. If no response call 911 for medical emergency and response.
What is step 2 in adult CPR? Check if patient is breathing for 5-10 sec. if not breathing begin CPR.
What is step 3 in adult CPR? CPR. - Remove victims clothing. Interlock hands and place heal of bottom hand on lower half of breast bone. Deliver first set of 30 compressions. 2in deep at a rate of 100 per min. Give two breaths using mask or barrier device.
What is step 3 in adult CPR cont.? Continue until 5 cycles of 30 compressions and 2 breaths are completed. Reassess breathing and continue CPR if necessary. If additional rescuers are available swap out every 5 cycles.
What is step 4 in adult CPR? If patient is breathing normally, lay the patient on their side to keep airway clear.
What is step 5 in adult CPR? Check for other injuries and treat as necessary.
