| Mitochondria | Catabolism; ATP synthesis- it's the power of the cell. |
| Nucleus | It is the central of the cell and contains the DNA |
| Microvill | Fingerlike extensions that increases a cells absorptive surface area. |
| Osmosis | The movement of water through a semipermeable membrane. |
| Hypertonic solution | A cell loses water by osmosis and shrivels. |
| Hypotonic Solution | the cell swells because there is of water movement into the cell. |
| Isotonic Solution | maintain the same volume. |
| Endocytosis | The plasma membrane traps extracellular material and brings it into the cell. |
| Receptors Mediated Endocytosis | Binds to the molecules and initiates endocytosis. |
