| 1st Amendment | Freedom of religion, speech, petition and assembly. |
| 2nd Amendment | Right to Bear Arms. |
| 3rd Amendment | No soldiers shall be quartered in a private citizen's home without consent. |
| 4th Amendment | Personal property cannot be searched without a warrant. |
| 5th Amendment | No person mat be held to answer for a crime unless he or she has first been officially and legally charged. (Plead the Fifth) |
| 6th Amendment | A person accused of a crime has at the right to a fair and speedy trial by a impartial jury. |
| 7th Amendment | In any legal case involving a civil suit, the defendant has the right to a trial by jury. (if the amount in question is over $20) |
| 8th Amendment | No excessives bail of fines, or cruel and unusual punishment shall be used against a convicted criminal. |
| 9th Amendment | No one shall be denied their basic constitutional rights. |
| 10th Amendment | Powers that are not specifically granted to the national government are to be retained by the states and people. |
| 11th Amendment | A citizen from one state cannot sue a citizen in another state in federal court. |
| 12th Amendment | Presidentail Electors will vote for President and Vice President or Separate ballots. |
| 13th Amendment | Slavery was abolished. |
| 14th Amendment | The basic civil rights for all Americans. Anyone born or naturalized in the U.S.. |
| 15th Amendment | African American males were guaranteed the right to vote, could not refuse any male the right to the vote. |
| 16th Amendment | Congress shall have the power to lay and collect taxes on income. |
| 17th Amendment | Election of Senators was granted the people of each of the states. |
| 18th Amendment | The manufacture, transportation or sale of alcoholic beverages was prohibited. |
| 19th Amendment | The right for women to vote. |
| 20th Amendment | Shortened the period of the time between federal elections |
| 21st Amendment | Repeals the 18th Amendment. Abolishes prohibition. |
| 22nd Amendment | The U.S. President is only allowed two terms in office. |
| 23rd Amendment | People who live in Washington DC can vote for the president with a minimum number of Electoral College ballots. (3 Electoral) |
| 24th Amendment | People cannot be denied the right to vote in a federal, primaries, general election. |
| 25th Amendment | If the President dies, the next person in line would be president. (Vice President, Speaker of House, President Pro. Tempore, etc.) |
| 26th Amendment | Edtsblished the minimum age requirement for voting federal elections at eighteen years. |
| 27th Amendment | Congress may pass a law increasing their salaries, but cannot collect it until after there has been a federal election. |
