plumage A bird's feathers.
predatory Living by killing and eating other animals. Living by using, controlling, or hurting others.
prior Coming earlier in time. Coming before in order of importance.
scavenge scavenger To search through or pick over, looking for something usable. Someone who scavenges An animal that feeds on dead or decaying matter.
slaughter To kill in order to obtain meat. To kill people or animals in large numbers or in a cruel way. The killing of an animal for food. The act of killing on a large scale or in a cruel way.
