Which insulins are Short-Acting and need for meals to be eaten within 30-60 minutes of injection? Regular Humulin(Novolin) and Velosulin
Which insulin is an Intermediate-Acting which covers insulin needed for about half the day or overnight, often combined with rapid and short acting insulins? NPH
What insulins are Long-Acting which covers insulin needed for one whole day, usually combined with rapid and short acting insulins? Lantus(glargine) and Levemir(detemir)
Which insulins are Pre-Mixed, generally taken two or three times a day before mealtime? Humulin 70/30, Novolin 70/30, Novolog 70/30, Humulin 50/50, and Humalog Mix 75/25
