Allele Different forms of a gene
dominant trait A trait expressed in the phenotype if the dominant allele is present in the genotype. (B)
recessive trait one that is seen only if both parents give the allele for the trait ( if both have b)
Gamete sex cell; an egg or a sperm cell

Chromosome A threadlike, gene-carrying structure found in the nucleus. Each chromosome consists of one very long DNA molecule and associated proteins.
