What is the mechanical variable that represents mechanical strength? Torque
Mechanical strength measured by the maximum torque that can be voluntarily generated at a certain joint
Torque T = F x d⊥
Which angle has the strongest torque? why? 90-degrees -greatest leverage and the resistance changes
What is strength determined by? -Absolute force developed by muscle -Distance from joint center to tendon insertion (affects movement)
