Vietnam War North Vietnam was made a Communist State and South Vietnam was also threatened by communists. The U.S. sent advisers and troops to try to drive the communist Vietcong out and they were unsuccessful. The North overran the south and made Vietnam one country
Cuban Missile Crisis The Soviet Union puts missiles in Cuba. The U.S. puts missiles in Turkey. They are both threatening to attack the other, but they finally agree to remove their nukes.
