apnea cessation of breathing
bradypnea slow breathing
bronchorrhea discharge from the bronchi
bronchospasm involuntary contraction of the bronchia
dysphonia "bad voice condition"; hoarseness
dyspnea difficulty breathing
epistaxis nosebleed
eupnea good/normal breathing
expectoration coughing or spitting material out of the lungs
hemoptysis coughing up blood
hyperpnea heavy breathing
hyperventilation over breathing; condition of having too much air flowing into and out of the lungs; leads to hypocapnia
hypopnea shallow breathing
hypoventilation under breathing; condition of having too little air flowing into and out of the lungs; leads to hypercania
orthopnea able to breathe only in an upright position
phrenospasm involuntary contraction of the diaphragm
pleurodynia pain in the pleura
pleuralgia pain in the pleura
rhinorrhagia excessive blood flow from the nose (another term for nosebleed)
rhinorrhea runny nose
sputum mucus discharged from the lungs by coughing
tachypnea rapid breathing
thoracalgia chest pain
