| Term | Definition |

| Asexual reproduction | Only one parent is needed for successful reproduction meaning that the offspring will look identical to the parent. |
| Binary fission | When one cell divides into two cells. |
| Budding | When the offspring grows out of the parents body instead of equally dividing. |
| Fragmentation/Regeneration | When the offspring grows of a fragment of a parent. |
| Sexual reproduction | Two parents are needed to reproduce successfully. The offspring will look like a mix between the parents. |
| Internal fertilization | Fertilization (egg + sperm) occurs most commonly within the female. |
| External fertilization | when the eggs are fertilized outside of the female. |
| Angiosperms | A flowering plant. |
| Anther | Produces pollen (the sperm). |
| Filament | The stalk that holds up the anther. |
| Stamen | The male parts of a flower. |
| Stigma | The sticky part of a female plant where the pollen sticks. |
| Style | Stalk that supports the stigma. |
| Ovary | Where fertilization takes place place creating seeds that turn into fruit. |
| Pistil | The female parts of a plant. |
| Pollination | When pollen is transferred to a stigma, ovule, flower, or plant in order for fertilization to occur. |
