Circulatory (cardiovascular) system Distributes blood, water & dissolved nutrients waste products, oxygen and carbon dioxide ex. heart, blood, blood vessels
Lymphatic system Defends against infection & spleen ex. spleen, thymus, tonsils, lymph node
Respiratory system Supplies oxygen to the bloodstream & removes carbon dioxide ex. sinuses, bronchi, lungs, alveoli, nasal cavities, trachea, larynx
Digestive system Breaks down food & eliminates indigestible waste ex. teeth, tongue, pharynx, esophagus, stomach, small/large intestine, liver, gall bladder, pancreas
Urinary system Rids body of wastes. Regulates acid-base, electrolyte & water balance of blood ex. kidneys, ureters, bladder, urethra
