What is a concussion? A brain injury caused by a blow to the head
What is a contusion? a region of injured tissue or skin in which blood capillaries have been ruptured, a bruise.
What is a Laceration A deep cut or tearin the skin
What is Avulasion The action of pulling or tearing
What is abrasion? The process of scraping or wearing away
What is Sunburn? A type of skin burn resulting from too much exposure to sunlight or sunlamps.
What is first aid? help given to a sick or injured person until full medical treatment is available.
What is C. P. R? a medical procedure involving repeated compression of a patient's chest,
What is bursitis? Inflammation of the fluid-filled pads that act as cushions at the joints.
What is a Transverse fracture? A transverse fracture is when the fracture line is perpendicular to the shaft of the bone
What is tendonitis? Inflamation of the tendons
R.I.C.E RICE is a mnemonic for four elements of treatment for soft tissue injuries. Its an acronym for Rest, Ice, Compression and Elevation
What is a muscle cramp? A muscle cramp is a sudden and involuntary contraction of one or more of your muscles.
What is hypothermia? the condition of having an abnormally low body temperature, typically one that is dangerously low.
What is Frostbite? A condition in which skin and the tissue just below the skin freeze.
