genetics scientific study of heredity
heredity passing of traits from parents to offspring
trait a characteristic about a living thing

heterozygous having different alleles for a trait: Bb or bB also called hybrid
genotype actual choices in your DNA for a trait
phonotype what you look like due to your genotype
Dominant covers up the recessive, Allele that TAKES OVER , written as a big letter
recessive is covered up by dominant allele. only shows if two are together, written as small letter
allele one of choices for a trait. Hair type alleles are straight, curly, wavy
