| Conclusion | a logical assumption based on observed details/facts from the text and one’s prior knowledge and/or experience |
| Construct | to build or form |
| Contrast | the state of being strikingly different from something else |
| Determine | to make sure of or establish exactly through research or calculations |
| Develop | to grow or cause to grow and become more mature, advanced, or elaborate |
| Distinguish | to recognize or point out the differences in events, actions, or components |
| Explain | to make something clear by describing it in more detail or by revealing relevant facts or ideas |
| Illustrate | to explain or make something clear by using examples, charts, or pictures |
| Interpret | to understand or explain the meaning of information, words, or actions |
