Cardiovascular Transport nutrients, chemical messengers, gases, & wastes in blood.
Respiratory Adds oxygen to blood & removes carbon dioxide from blood.
Digestive Breaks down food into units that can be absorbed into the body: elimaintes wastes & nondigestible fiber in food.
Urinary Removes nitrogenous wastes;maintains body fluid volumne, pH, & electrolyte levels through urine production.
Muscular Moves bones and maintains posture.
Nervous Controls cell function with electiral signals; helps control body homeostasis.
Endocrine Controls cell function with hormones;helps control body homeostasis.
Reproductive Produces gametes;female uterus provides enviroment for develpoment of fetus.
Intergumentary Provides a protective barrier for the body & aids in production of vitamin D; contains sensory reseptors for pain,touch,& temperture;thermoregulation.
Lymphatic & Immune Returns fluid to cardiovascular system; detects,filters, & eliminates diesase-causing organisms including cancer cells.
