Anatomy Vocab 1

terms and vocabulary

QuestionAnswer
What is superior(cephalic)? Towards the head.
What is interior(caudal)? Towards the feet.
What is anterior(ventral)? The front/towards the front.
What is posterior(dorsal)? The back/towards the back.
What is medial? Towards the vertical center.
What is lateral? Towards the outside of the side/away from the midline.
What is intermediate? Between the lateral and the medial.
What is proximal? Close to the origin of the body.
What is distal? Farther away to the origin of the body.
What is superficial? Outside the core.
What is deep? Closer to the core of the body/away from the body surface/more internal
