Integumentary Function: Protects body from injury, infection Helps regulate body temperature, eliminate some waste *Skin hair nails sweat
Endocrine Function: Secrete hormones into the blood which regulate growth, development, and homeostasis *Pituitary, thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal and thymus glands, pancreas, ovaries, testes
Digestive Function: Breaks down food and delivers the products to the blood for dispersal to the body cells, eliminates waste from body *mouth, salivary glands, pharynx, esophagus, stomach, intestine, liver, gallbladder, pancreas
Circulatory Function: Pumps blood to and from the heart to supply oxygen to the body, delivers oxygen and nutrients to organs and cells carries waste products away *Heart, blood vessels, blood, spleen
Special senses Function: Allows body to react to environment by providing sight, hearing, taste, smell, and balance *Eye, Ear, tongue, nose, General sense receptors
Skeletal Function: Provides support and a frame for the body *bones, cartilage
Respiratory breeds in 02 and eliminates CO2 from body
Respiratory Function: Breathe in oxygen and eliminates carbon dioxide from body *Nose, pharynx, larynx, trachea, bronchi, lungs
Reproductive Function: Functions in creating offspring *Male: testes, epididymis, vas deferentes, ejaculatory duct, seminal vesicles, prostate glands, penis, urethra *Female: ovaries, fallopian tube, uterus, vagina, breasts
Urinary Function: Removes wastes from the blood and helps to maintain water and electrolyte balance *Kidneys, ureters, urinary bladder, urethra
Nervous Function: Collects and processes information from the senses via nerves and the brain, and tells the muscles what to do to cause physical actions *Nerves, brain, spinal cord
Muscular Function: Body temperature and protects the body, enables body to move using muscles *Skeletal, smooth and cardiac muscles
Lymphatic Function: Defends the body against disease-causing agents, carries some tissues, fluid, and wastes to blood *Lymph nodes, lymph vessels, spleen, tonsils, thymus gland
