Complete Dominence Dominant allele masks the effect of a recessive allele in a heterozygous condition Bb
Incomplete dominence Neither allele is dominant, a heterozygous condition results in a blending of allele traits.
Co dominence neither allele is dominant a heterozygous condition in which both allele traits are being expressed
Multiple alleles 3 or more alleles for a trait
Sex linked alleles allele is located on the sex chromosomes. ex XX or XY
Heredity Transfer of biological information from parent to offspring
Homologous chromosomes 2 threadlike structures of the same shape/size that carry genetic information f or specific traits
Gene segment of a chromosome that determines a characteristic or trait
Allele different form of a gene, found on the same position of each homologous chromosome
Homozygous 2 identical alleles for a trait
Heterozygous 2 different alleles for a trait
Genotype pairs of alleles
Phenotype outward expression of the allele pair
