Pyometritis | Inflammation of the uterine musculature associated with pus |
pneumothorax | Lung collapse due to air leaking into the chest cavity |
Pediculosis | Louse infestation |
Neoplasm | An abnormal growth in the body, most often associated with cancer |
Myotonia | Abnormally prolonged contraction of a muscle |
Jaundice | Malfunction of the liver causing the skin to turn yellow |
Icterus | Means the same as jaundice |
Hypospadais | When the urethra opens on the underside of the penis |
Foramen magnum | The hole in the base of the skull through which the spinal cord passes |
Ectopic pregnancy | A pregnancy in which the egg implants in a location other than the uterus |
Diaphoresis | Sweating, especially due to illness or as a side effect of a drug |
Comminuted | A fracture in which the bone is crushed |
Aspiration | Breathing food or other foreign material into the lungs |
Agnosia | Loss of the ability to understand the meaning or recognize the importance of sensory stimuli |
Verrucae | Plantar warts; these occur on the bottoms of the feet |
