Anatomy The structure of body parts and their relationships to others
Physiology Concerns the function of the body
Gross or Macroscopic anatomy The study of large structures visible to the naked eye
Regional anatomy Subdivision of gross anatomy that deals with atructures too small to be seen by the naked eye
Developmental anatomy Subdivision of gross anatomy that studies anatomical and physiological development throughout life
Systemic anatomy Body system is studied system by system
Surface anatomy The study of surface internal structures as they relate to the overlying skin surfaces
Microscopic anatomy Deals with structures to small to be seen with the naked eye
Cytology Microscopic study if cells
Histology Microscopic study if tissue
Renal physiology The study of kidney function and urine production
Neurophysiology Explains the workings of the nervous system
Cardiovascular physiology Examines the operation of the heart and blood vessels
