Medical Terminology

TermDefinition
Gigantism Pathological condition of being abnormally large.
Glandular Pertaining to a gland.
Hormone Class of chemical substance produced by the endocrine gland.
Hydrocortisone Glucocorticoid (steroid) hormone produced by the adrenal cortex; used as an anti-inflammatory agent.
Hypergonadism Condition of excessive secretion of the sex glands.
Hyperinsulinsim Condition of the excessive amounts of insulin in the blood, causing low blood sugar.
Hyperkalemia Condition of excessive amounts of potassium in the blood.
Hypodonadism Condition caused by deficient internal secretion of the gonads.
Hypoparathyroidism Deficient internal secretion of the parathyroid glands.
