Where does rhomboid major originate? Spinous process of T2 and T5
Where does rhomboid minor originate? Spinous process of C7 and T2
What muscle(s) are inserted at the medial border of the scapula? Rhomboid major, rhomboid minor, serratus anterior, and levator scapulae
Where does teres major originate? The inferior angle and lower lateral border of the scapula
What muscle is inserted at the crest of the lesser tubercle of the humerus? Teres major, subscapularis
Which muscles perform medial rotation of the scapula? Teres major, subscapularis, and latissimus dorsi

What muscle is innervated at lower subscapular C5, C6, and C7? Teres major
Which muscle is located at the upper 8-9 ribs? Serratus anterior
Where is serratus anterior inserted? The anterior surface of the medial border of the scapula
What actions does serratus anterior perform? Abduction, upward rotation, and depression of the scapula, and holds the medial border of the scapula
What muscle is innervated at the long thoracic nerve? Serratus anterior
Where is the supraspinatus originated? Supraspinous fossa of the scapula
What muscle(s) are inserted at the greater tubercle of the humerus? Supraspinatus, teres minor, and infraspinatus
What actions does supraspinatus perform? Abduction of the shoulder, stabilizes the head of the humerus
What muscle(s) are innervated at the subscapular? Supraspinatus and infraspinatus
What muscle is located at the upper 2/3 of the lateral border of the scapula? Teres minor
What actions does teres minor perform? Lateral rotation and adduction of the shoulder joint, and stabilizes the head of the humerus
What muscle is innervated at axillary C5 and C6? Teres minor

Where is the trapezius inserted? Clavicle, acromion, and spine of the scapula
What action does the trapezius perform? Extension of the head and neck
What muscle is innervated at the cranial nerves C2, C3, and C4? Trapezius
Where does latissimus dorsi originate? Inferior angle of the scapula, last 3 or 4 ribs, posterior iliac crest, thoracolumbar aponeurosis and the spinous process of the last 6 vertebrae.
What muscle is innervated at thoracodorsal C6, C7, and C8? Latissimus Dorsi
