Pathological Conditions Related to the Skeletal System

Arthitis inflammation in a joint
Fracture a traumatic injury to a bone in which the continuity of the bone tissue is broken
Closed fx a break in the bone without puncturing the skin
Comminuted fracture more than two pieces in a fx
Compound fracture A break in a bone with a portion protruding through the skin.
