The 2 major divisions of the body: axial & appendicular
Appendicular attached to body's axis - limbs
Axial straight down - head, neck, trunk
Anterior (ventral) in front of
Anterior is the same thing as __ ventral
Superior (cranial) above - towards the head
Inferior is the same thing as __ caudal
Inferior (caudal) below - lower part of the body
Inferior is the same thing as __ caudal
Superificial is the same thing as __ external
Superficial (external) toward or at the body surface ex: the skin is superficial to the bones
Deep (internal) away from the body surface
