The circulatory system consists of Blood, Blood vessels, Heart.
Three distinct parts of ciculatory system Pulmonary circulation , Coronary ciculation systemic ciculation.
Four Blood types A , B , AB , O
Blood donating- A = A or AB , B = B or AB ,AB = AB ,O = Can donate to anyone.
Blood receiving- A < A or O ,B < B or O, AB < can recevie from anyone.,O < O
Universal donor O
Universal recepient AB
Oldest blood type O ( carnivorous)
Scientist who classified blood. Karl Landsteiner.
Rh Factors study was done on. Rhesus Monkeys
If your blood does contain protien, your blood said to be. Rh positive ( Rh+)
If your blood does not contain protien, your said to be. Rh negative (Rh-)
Human blood has two parts. 1. liquid ( Plasma)2. cells
What is Plasma? It's a straw-colored, clear liquid that is 90percent water.and salt and minerals like,Mg,Ca,K.
Other two names for RBC. Red Blood cells and Erythrocytes.
Red blood cells are red only because- they contain a protien chemical called Hemoglobin.
RBC average life cycle. 120 days
Red blood cells are continuously produced in the- red marrow of the skull, ribs, vertebrae , ends of the long bones.
what does RBC do? traveling through your body delevering oxygen and removing waste.
What does WBC do? Fights Infections and bacterias.
Other two names for White Blood Cells. 1. WBC2. Leukocytes
Average life cycle for WBC. few days to few weeks.
A drop of boold can contain anywhere from- 7000 to 25000 WBC
A consistently high number of WBC. sign of Leukemia, a cancer of blood.
The smallest blood vessels are- Capillaries. 1mm long.
Arteries Arteies carry blood away from heart.
Veins Veins carry blood toward the heart.
veins act as blood reservoirs because they contain - 50% to 60% of the blood volume.
Average adult heart is abt size of- Clenched fist and weighs about 11 ounces ( 310 grams).
Heart has four cavities. Two of these cavities are called Atria.Other two are called Ventricles.
The average heart's muscle is called. Cardiac Muscle
Crdiac Muscle, contracts and relexes about 70 to 80 times per minute
Blood Pressure- The unit of measurment are mm Hg. Millimeters of Mercury
Human average blood pressure. 117mm Hg/76mm Hg
The top number is reeffred to - Systolic.
The bottom number is reffred to- Diastolic
Hypertension High Blood Pressure, is associated with cardiovascular disease.
The primary function of Respiratory System. Is to supply the blood with oxygen.
Respiratory System is Consist of The Mouth ,Nose, Trachea, Lungs, and Diaphragm.
The diaphrams's job is to Help pump carbon dioxide out of the lungs and pull the oxygen into the lungs.
