Planes, Regions, Quadrants, Cavities

| Midsagittal Plane | Divides body into equal left and right parts |
| Transverse Plane | Horizontal cut to create equal upper and lower parts |

| RLQ | Right lower Quadrant |
| LLQ | Left lower Quadrant |
| 2 Major Cavities | Ventral Cavity and Dorsal Cavity |
| Ventral cavities (front of body) include | Thoracic Cavity, Abdominal Cavity, Pelvic Cavity, Abdominalpelvic Cavity |
| Thoracic Cavity | Lungs, Heart, Aorta, Esophagus, Trachea |
| Abdominal Cavity | Separated from the thoracic by the diaphragm contains Liver, Bladder, Spleen, Stomach, Pancreas, Intestines, and Kidneys |
| Pelvic Cavity | Urinary Bladder and the Reproductive organs |
| Abdominopelvic | Space between the diaphragm and the groin includes both abdominal and pelvic cavities |
| Dorsal cavities (Backside) | Cranial Cavity and Spinal Cavity |
| Cranial Cavity | Contains the Brain |
| Spinal Cavity | Contains the nerves of the spinal cord |
