| What is the difference between a grand jury and a trial jury? | The grand jury decides if there is enough evidence to officially charge (indict) the suspect. The trial jury (petit jury) listens to all the arguments, witnesses, and evidence at the trial and decides if the defendant is guilty or not guilty. |

| Explain to the two categories of crimes for adults. | Felonies and misdemeanors are the two types of crimes. Felonies are more serious crimes that usually result in more than a year in prison and/or more than $1,000 fine. Misdemeanors are less serious crimes that usually result in less punishment. |
