Facial Bones

DefinitionTerm
forms the forehead, bony projections of the eyebrows, and upper parts of the eye sockets frontal bone
are paired bones that form most of the upper and side walls of the cranium parietal bones
paired bones that lie behind the parietal bones temporal bones
forms the base and back wall of the skull occipital bone
a bone that spans the width of the skull and forms part of the floor of the cranial cavity. It has many canals that nerves run through sphenoid bone
very irregularly shaped and forms the roof of the nasal cavity and part of the inner eye sockets ethmoid bone
