Stamp Act Required colonists to attach expensive tax stamps to all illegal documents.
Quartering acts Required colonists to house British troops and supply them with food.
Declaratory acts States it has the right to tax and make decisions for the colonies.
Townshend Acts Taxed needed goods imported to the colonies.
Boston Massacre occurs as a mob harasses British soldiers who then fire their muskets into a crowd of colonists.
Tea Act allowed the British East India Company to bypass colonial shopkeepers at high prices.
Coercive Acts Restricted the colonists rights including the right to trial by jury.
Battles at Lexington and concord Where colonists started to question their loyalty to Britain.
Second Continental congress Meets and only some of the delegates wanted independence.
Unalienable rights Rights cannot be taken away
