Testes produces male sex hormones
seminiferous tubules environment where sperm are produced; part of the testes
interstitial cells produces male sex hormones; part of the testes
epididymis environment where sperm matures; conveys sperm to ductus deferens
ductus deferens (vas deferens) conveys sperm to ejaculatory duct
seminal vesicle secrets alkaline fluid containing nutrients and prostaglandins
prostate gland secretes alkaline fluid to neutralize acidic seminal fluid and enhances sperm mobility
bulbourethral gland secretes mucus that lubricates end of penis and alkaline substances to neutralize acidity
scrotum encloses and protects testes
penis conveys urine and semen to outside of the body; organ of sexual intercourse; glans penis is associated with feelings of pleasure during sexual stimulation
