| Align | Use to arrange objects to line up with the other objects on the slide or place an object relative to other objects on the slide. Align commands include: Left, Center, Right, Top, Middle, and Bottom. |
| Animation | Adds motion to an object. |
| Blank Presentation | A new presentation that does not have theme elements, texts, or objects. |
| Effect Options | The Entrance, Exit, Emphasis, and Motion Path animation features such as pinwheel, diamond, and fly effects that you can use to animate objects. |
| Handout Master | The master view for the audience; includes place holders for the slides, a header, footer,and the date and slide number. |
| Hyperlink | Text or an object that when clicked "jumps to" another slide in the current show or another PowerPoint presentation, opens a Word, Excel, or Access file, or a browser window. Also called link. |
| Layout Master | In the slide master, the individual layouts that determine the location of content and text placeholders for the slides. |
| Live Preview | The Office 2010 feature that lets you point to the various choices in a gallery or palette and see the results before applying. |
| Motion Paths | A way to animate an object by drawing the path on the slide. allows you to make an object move along a specified path on the slide. |
| Notes Master | The master view for the notes pages. includes placeholders for the slide, notes, header, footer, date, and slide number. |
| Placeholder | A boxed outline on a slide that can be used to insert text or an object when clicked. |
| Slide Master | Determines the graphics and layout for the slides in a presentation. Each theme has a slide master, and slide masters include layout masters. |
| Slide Transtions | The animated way in which a slide appears and leaves the screen during a slide show. |
| Template | A predesigned file that you can use to create a new file. |
| Themes | A preset collection of design elements, including fonts, colors, and other effects. |
