Antimicrobial Will destroy or suppress the reproduction of microbes
Aorta Largest artery in the body
Apathy Lack of feeling or emotion\
Apnea Temporary halting of breathing
Arteriole The small branch of an artery that leads into a capillary
Arteriosclerosis Hardening of the arteries
Artery Blood vessel that carries oxygenated blood away from the heart, can feel a pulse
Asepsis Sterile condition
Aseptic Free of microorganisms capabel of causing infection or contamination
Atria The upper receiving chambers of the heart
Bacteria Single cell organisms, microscopic
Bacteriology That which inhibits or retards bacterial growth
Basilic Vein Vein found on little finger side of arm, inner side of upper arm
Antibiotic Will destroy or weaken bacteria
Bacteriostatic That which inhibits or retards bacterial growth
