Vocabulary

TermDefinition
Gross Annual Income The total pay or earnings made over a one-year period before any deductions are made.
Gross Monthly Income The total amount of earnings made over a month before any deductions are made.
Net Annual Income The income amount remaining after a year's worth of deductions have been taken.
Net Monthly Income The amount of monthly income remaining after all deductions have been taken.
Stocks A share in a coorperation sold to the public.
Bonds An IOU issued by a company to pay the buyer a certain amount of money at the end of a stated period.
Mutual Funds A collection of stocks or bonds of various coorperations.
Budget A plan for managing money spent.
Credit Card A card used to buy goods and pay later.
Debit Card A card used to take money immediately out of the bank account after purchasing goods.
Sales Tax A source of revenue for most state governments.
