What is the process for axillary temp? | Probe cover needed, place under arm and lower arm and place across the chest, wait for beep |
What is the process for tympanic Temp? | Use probe cover Use ear away from pillow Adult: pull ear up and back Child 3yrs and under pull ear down and out Pt. towards the nose |
What is the process for temporal artery? | Use probe cover Dry forehead Press and hold scan button slide across forehead and apply to area behind ear Release and wait for beep |
What is "normal" for temperature? | 96.8 F (37 degrees C)-100.4 (38 degrees C) |
What is the "normal" pulse range? | 60-100 bpm |
What is the normal respiratory rate? | 12-20 breaths per minute |
What is normal blood pressure reading? | 120/80 |
What is pre-hypertensive bp reading? | 120-139/80-90 |
What is stage 1 hypertension reading? | 140-159/90-99 |
What is stage 2 hypertension reading? | 160+/100+ |
