Facility Perimeter Security

QuestionAnswer
All persons except law enforcement personnel who are acting on official business
will be scan searched via a walk through metal detector and/or with a portable hand held metal detector
Persons authorized access into the secure area of the facility are subject to being frisk searched at any time
No person will use their official status to gain privileges to conduct a personal visit
of any inmate in any facility without prior approval of the Watch Lieutenant
Access into the facility shall be denied if the visitor poses a clear and present danger to the security of the facility
or if any other facility rules are violated
A General Offense Report shall be prepared and submitted to the Watch Lieutenant describing the circumstances concerning a visitor
who is denied access or whose visit is terminated due to security or rule violations
For the purpose of this order “under the influence” shall also include emitting an odor of alcohol or illegal drugs
For the purpose of this order “under the influence” shall also include emitting an odor of alcohol or illegal drugs
Examples include but are not limited to
Visitor(s) under the influence of drugs or alcohol emitting an odor of alcohol or illegal drugs
Refusal by a visitor to submit to a search or is found to have contraband concealed
Inappropriate attire as outlined in COR 18.1 Visitation
Other conduct or conditions that are deemed by the appropriate area supervisor as disruptive
