Juvenile Housing

| juvenile inmate is any inmate under the age of | 18 who has been adjudicated as an adult by waiver, direct file, and indictment by a Grand Jury |
| or has received adult sanctions | on any previous convictions in adult court |
| Juveniles will be housed separately from other inmates | to prohibit the juvenile from having regular contact with incarcerated adults including trusties |
| Regular contact is defined as sight and sound contact | and separation is maintained using window film, and time phasing of inmate movement |
| Brief inadvertent or accidental contact | is not considered regular contact |
| Juveniles charged with a traffic offense involving death or injury | will not be placed with adults under any circumstances |
| All juveniles will be locked down daily at 1900 hours | and will remain in their sleeping cells until the breakfast meal is served |
| The Custody Watch Lieutenant must approve | any deviation from this schedule |
