leave Application Process

| In situations where the employee knows in advance that he will need a period of medical leave | (e.g. for childbirth, adoption, recuperation from surgery etc.), he should file the request for leave as soon as he knows the dates |
| that he will need to be on leave (sometimes the date will be | imprecise, such as with childbirth |
| If the employee knows that he will need FMLA leave, | he should give as much notice as possible |
| but not less than is required under | the applicable leave plan |
