I.O.D line of duty
IOD DEFINED

| Injury in the line of duty is defined as a trauma | -or occupational disease arising out of and in the course of employment for the City of Jacksonville |
| All JSO employees are considered "on duty" | -and are covered by Workers' Compensation while engaged in their primary duty |
| JSO employees who are Law Enforcement Officers, as defined below, are considered "on duty" | -and covered by Worker's Compensation while engaged in their primary duty of enforcing the criminal, traffic or penal laws of Florida |
| in their primary | -or authorized secondary employment |
| Law Enforcement Officers are also covered by Worker's Compensation while coming from | -or going to work or authorized secondary employment in an official law enforcement vehicle |
| except for a distinct deviation | -for a nonessential personal errand |
