| carcinoma | malignant growth derived from epithelial cells |
| histology | branch of microscopic anatomy that studies tissues |
| lipoma | benign tumor derived from fat cells |
| Marfan Syndrome | congenital disorder of connective tissue characterized by abnormal length in the extremities and cardiovascular abnormalities |
| Myoma | benign tumor formed of muscle tissue |
| Papilloma | benign epithelial tumor; may occur on any epithelial surface or lining |
| Pathology | branch of medicine that studies the essential nature of disease, especially the structural and functional changes in tissues |
| Sarcoma | malignant growth derived from connective tissue cells |
| Scurvy | condition caused by a deficiency of vitamin C in the diet, which results in abnormal collagen synthesis |
| Systemic lupus erythematosus | chronic autoimmune connective tissue disease that is characterized by injury to the skin, joints, kidneys, nervous system, and mucous membranes but can affect any organ of the body |
