Terms for Math Seminar 8th grade.
| Term | Definition |

| Perfect Square | Result of a # multiplied by its self. |
| Perfect Cube | A number multiplied by its self 3x. The result of a number that is multiplied 3x. |
| Square Root | Opposite of squaring a number. |
| Rational Approximation | Giving an irrational number an estimated value. It makes working with irrational numbers easier. |
| Cube Root | When you multiply a number 3x. The product is the number 3x. |
| Scientific Notation | Writing number as a power of 10. It was created to explore really really big & small numbers. Positive numbers result in larger number than 1. Negative is less than 1. Exponent at the 10 explains how many x to move decimal place. |
| Rational Numbers | A number able to be put into a fraction. Can be a positive or a negative value; Also with these examples, numbers are in original form does not need a fraction all the time. Just numbers that can be put into a rational state. |
