Lieutenant Governor (2): The Lieutenant Governor serves if the governor happens to him and he handles special projects.

State Treasurer (1): The State Treasurer manages, invests, and pays state funds.

Terms Governor: The Governor can have 2 terms.
Lieutenant Governor: The Lieutenant Governor has no term limitations.
State Senator: A state Senator can have 2 terms.
State Representative: A state representative can have 4 terms.

Where do state impeachment cases begin? Impeachment cases begin in the House of Representatives.
Who acts as a jury during cases of impeachment? The senate acts as a jury in cases of impeachment.
Who has the duty to approve the governor’s appointments? The senate has the duty to approve the Governor's appointments.
What are the requirements to become governor? The requirements are that you have to be a 15 year qualified voter, 10 year resident of Missouri, and at least 30 years old.
Who is the current governor of Missouri? The current governor of Missouri is Jay Nixon.
What is the salary of the governor? The governor’s salary is $133,821.
What is the line of succession if the governor cannot continue serving? The Lieutenant Governor, the Attorney General, and the Secretary of State are the line of succession.
What is a line item veto? And who has the power to use it? A line item veto is to only veto part of the bill and the Governor has the power to veto.
Who is the commander-in-chief of the state militia? The Governor is the commander-in-chief of the state militia.
Who can call the General Assembly into special session? The Governor can call the General Assembly into a special session.
What is the main trial court in the state of Missouri? The main trial court is the circuit court
What are the duties of Municipal courts? The duties are to elect officials of cities, towns, villages, school districts, and special districts.
Know about the Supreme Court: part of the Judicial Branch, hears appeals from other courts and is the top court in the state of Missouri
When did Missouri become a state? Missouri became a state in 1821.
What is the capital of Missouri? The capital of Missouri is Jefferson City.
What is the main duty of each branch of government? Legislative makes laws, Executive enforces laws, and Judicial interprets laws.
What is home rule? Home rule is the freedom to determine their own type of government.
What are referendums? Referendums are whether or not they favor a proposal.
When are General elections held? The General elections are held in November.
What are Primary elections? The Primary elections are the elections before the General elections for the purpose of electing one candidate from a political party.

What are absentee ballots? An absentee ballot is a vote cast by someone who is unable to attend.
What is the final step in amending the state Constitution? The final step is to vote and to move it to the next General Election.
