Why do they distribute the UMD? (3-1) To provide manpower data support to all activities located on the base.
How are UMD's used to determine if changes are needed? (3-1) Used to compare sourced(funded) versus unsourced(unfunded) work center manpower requirements.

What is the purpose of the UPMR? (3-6) (1)Give the Unit Commander a tool to monitor unit manning (2)Control incoming & intra-unit assignments (3)Assist the MPS in position number management.
Explain the responsibilities of the UPMR? (3-6) (1)Assigning inbound personnel to position number from the UPMR. (2)Forwarding the allocations to the appropriate work center (3)Updating the duty information in MilPDS.
