TermDefinition
Matter Anything that occupies space and has mass (weight)
energy the ability do work.
elements fundamental units of matter.
atoms building blocks of elements
Radioactivity Process of spontaneous atomic decay.
Compound two or more atoms of the same elements combined chemically.
Molecule tow or more atoms of the same elements combined chemically
Hydrogen bond Weak chemical bond. provides attraction between molecules.
Covalent bonds Atoms become stable through shrared electrons. Can be polar or non-polar.
Ionic bonds When atoms become stable through the transfer of electrons. they form when electrons are completely transferred from one atom to another.
