THE WORDS I DON'T KNOW!

TermDefinition
abate to subside or become more moderate. ex. "Waiting for the storm to abate"
aberrant abnormal or unusual ex. "The aberrant monkey at the zoo made us doubt the genuine animals"
abrasive to rub away or grind down ex. "Abrasive cleaning materials tend of wear down shiny surfaces"
abstemious very moderate and restrained, usually having to do with eating. ex. "Anorexic people are very abstemious"
abstruse very obscure or difficult to understand ex. "The abstruse essay made my head hurt"
acclaim To praise or approve of ex. "Most people did not acclaim Einstein's creation of the atomic bomb"
