analogy is a comparison between two or more things that are similar in some way.
synonyms words that have the same meaning.
antonyms words that have different meanings.
simile makes an indirect comparison between two different things using linking words such as: like, as,than, resembles.
metaphor makes a comparison between two different things with out using any linking verbs.
